Rochelle has a vast resume of both participating in and teaching colour guard and winter guard. Her first year in colorguard was 2001 as a member of Allegiance Elite Drum and Bugle Corps. She spent four years total within the organization, becoming colourguard captain in 2003.
Next Rochelle joined the Calgary Stampede Showband in 2004. During the next three and a half years Rochelle earned colourguard captain, outstanding first year award, and a Taylor award for the most outstanding colourguard member in 2005.
In 2007 Rochelle earned a spot in The Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps, Santa Clara California, where she spent two years competing.
Rochelle taught the Calgary Round-Up Band from 2004-2007. She was the Colorguard Coordinator for Stetsons Showband in the 2007-2008 season and began teaching the Calgary Stampede Showband in 2007. She became the Colourguard Coordinator for the Stampede Showband in 2010 and went on to win three World Association of Marching Showbands championships during her time in the position.
Rochelle strives on developing excellence and accountability while creating a fun environment in which both youth and adults feel challenged and successful.

Laura has been involved in the sport of Colour Guard since January of 2003. She attended a “Bring a Friend Night” with the Calgary Round-Up Band and hasn’t left since! Completing that season, she moved up to complete one season with the Calgary Stetson Showband, followed by 5 amazing seasons with the Calgary Stampede Showband.
Laura was Colour Guard Captain with various co-captains for her last 3 years with the ensemble. She was awarded the Richardson Cup in back-to-back seasons in her 4th and 5th seasons. This award recognizes outstanding members and their leadership within the group, and she boasts a spot on the cup with a small number of fellow guard members since it’s inception.
As an alumnus of the Showband, she has dabbled as a performer with Escalade, a highly competitive Calgary based Winter Guard program. She has completed 3 performing seasons off and on between her various traveling and work adventures. She loves having the ability to continue to grow as a member and a staff in the world of Colour Guard by participating in excellent programming offered in Calgary.
Laura’s teaching experience has included 4 seasons with the Calgary Round-Up Band, 4 seasons with the Calgary Stampede Showband, workshops for various dance schools around the city, and most recently, joining back up with her best friends as staff with the Dynamic Winter Guard.
Ask her what her favourite thing about Colour Guard is, and she’ll tell you 3 things:
1 - Lifelong friendships
2 - Second-to-none travel experiences
3 - Accidentally developing life-skills while doing something she loves
